Five young Frenchmen - a Catholic, Jew, Muslim, agnostic and atheist - have just returned from a 10-month long “interfaith tour”, exploring inter-faith initiatives in some 50 countries all over the world. Samuel, Ilan, Ismael, Josselin and Vincent met key world figures such as Pope Francis but also hundreds of ordinary people, believers and non-believers, who’re working together to boost social cohesion. As they now set out on a two-month educational “Tour de France”, sharing their experiences particularly with schoolkids all over the country, they talk to RFI about their convictions and commitment to helping France improve its interfaith dialogue within its secular model known as laicité. As Vincent, the atheist, says, “I didn’t find faith, but I found faith in human beings.”Follow the interfaith tour on www.interfaithtour.com and on facebook https://fr-fr.facebook.com/iftour
