French textile industry fights to survive

France's summer sales officially start Wednesday morning. Twice a year French retailers  clear their stock for the next season and, for shoppers, it's a chance to get a bargain. But, with the economic crisis and the rising cost of commodities, clothing prices have been going up. The French textile industry, which has been in decline as production has shifted to developing countries like China and India, is now looking to see how it can improve. Professionals gathered in Paris Tuesday for a conference looking at the sector in 2020.
