Juve slip up at Bologna before Bayern Munich clash

Juventus's 15-match winning streak came to a grinding halt on Friday night at Bologna. The Serie A champions were held to a 0-0 draw. The stalemate leaves them two points ahead of second placed Napoli who will be able to take over the top spot if they beat over AC Milan on Monday night.

Juventus had not been beaten in the Italian top flight since a 1-0 reverse at Sassuolo at the end of October. Back then they were 11 points off the pace but their unbeaten surge took them to the top of the table last weekend following a 1-0 win over Napoli.

The 0-0 draw on Friday night at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara wasn't a complete surprise. Bologna have been enjoying a renaissance under the former Italy coach Roberto Donadoni. The 52-year-old took over the reins in October after Delio Rossi was sacked. Bologna were 18th then and have since risen to ninth.

Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri is trying to lead the club to a fifth consecutive Serie A title. The feat hasn't achieved since Inter Milan's sequence of five straight titles between 2006 and 2010.

Allegri, 48, is also attempting to bring European glory to Juventus. They were last season's beaten finalists in the Uefa Champions League.

On Tuesday night in Turin they face the German champions Bayern Munich. The Bavarians are led by Pep Guardiola who will leave the side at the end of the season to manager at Manchester City.
