Palestinians face another form of discrimination

Issued on:

Yesterday, Israeli forces shot and killed a Palestinian near the Beit Einun junction northeast of the occupied West Bank city of Hebron. This, after an alleged stabbing attempt, witnesses and Israel’s army said. The killing comes just two days after the body of a Palestinian teenager was finally buried after 90 days in detention. Mustafa al-Khatib was killed after allegedly carrying out knife and car ramming attacks against Israeli police and civilians in a three-month wave of violence. Israeli police say burial periods are lengthy to prevent Palestinians from glorifying attackers during their funerals. Our correspondent Ibrahim Husseini looks at how even in death, Palestinians face another form of discrimination.
