Geneva hotel shortage could scupper Syria peace talks

Issued on:

UN-Arab League envoy Lakhdar Brahimi has warned a shortage of hotel rooms in Geneva may scupper the Geneva 2 peace talks on Syria on 22 January - the same day as the World Economic Forum in nearby Davos and a popular Geneva watch fair. Organisers are looking for alternative locations. Paul Rogers, a conflict resolution expert, looks at who will attend the talks.
