World Bank imagines Palestinian GDP up by third

Issued on:

The World Bank says that if Palestinians could fully use their land, much of which is now under Israeli control, their GDP would go up by one third. Israel says it's the fault of the Palestinians because they refuse to sign a peace treaty that will guarantee Israel's security. Palestinians say Israel should remove illegal settlements. Peace talks are again ongoing, but prospects for a deal still seem fairly remote. RFI spoke to Zuhair Sanduka, a Palestinian politician about his country's economic problems, internal divisions and prospects for peace.
