Concert honours heroes of Paris attacks
Paris mayor Anne Hidalgo and Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve attended a concert on Monday night in Paris to honour some 12,000 emergency and health workers who jumped in to respond to the 13 November terror attacks.

“On the cusp of this new year, I want to share with you my confidence and tell you the pride I feel working alongside you,” said Hidalgo. “Paris is very lucky to be able to count on you. We will never forget it,” she added.
About 12,000 people that included firefighters of Paris, doctors, surgeons, police forces, soldiers and rescue workers attended the Monday night concert at Bercy AccorHotels Arena in Paris.
“It was very much appreciated,” said Eric, 50, a soldier. “We must continue to live after all the horrors,” he said.
“I’m here to enjoy and laugh. We had cried enough for three weeks,” said Lea, 26, a hospital health worker.
The stage was given over to singers such as Zaz, Benabar and Jane, before the crowd improvised the French national anthem “La Marseillaise”.
The broadcast was watched by almost 3 million viewers.
