France to close Yemen mission until Sunday
France will keep its embassy in the Yemeni capital, Sana’a, closed until at least Sunday, following similar decisions by other western countries.

The mission was closed on Saturday because of fears of an Al-Qaeda terrorist attack.
It was due to reopen on Wednesday, but a spokesman for French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius said the minister examined the situation and decided the embassy would be closed “until at least Sunday.”
France has reiterated its “advice for heightened vigilance and the maximum restriction of movement” for French expatriates in Yemen.
The United States will keep 19 embassies in the Middle East and North Africa closed until Saturday.
Americans have been urged to leave the country immediately, while Britain has evacuated staff from its embassy, “and the embassy will remain closed until staff are able to return," the UK’s Foreign Office said in a statement.
