The Foire de Paris, or Paris Fair, France's annual consumer goods expo runs through to the end of this week. From washing machines to lawn mowers, microwave ovens to irons, the fair hopes to convince visitors to buy new products in the midst of the economic slowdown. Despite a drop in consumer spending in France, there is a resurgence of innovation and inventions.
