France remembers the great Charles de Gaulle

Tuesday marks forty years since Charles de Gaulle died in his house in Colombey les Deux Eglises in north-eastern France. De Gaulle made his mark on modern French history leading the country through World War II and founding the Fifth Republic. He died one year after leaving office.
