Former budget minister Cahuzac put under new formal investigation
Former budget minister Jérôme Cahuzac was put under a new formal investigation Wednesday for lying about assests in his secret Swiss bank account.

Cahuzac, who resigned on March 19 following charges of tax evasion and money laundering, was summoned to to appear before judges Renaud van Ruymbeke and Roger Le Loire Wednesday morning.
Patricia Cahuzac, the estranged wife of Jérôme Cahuzac, was also recently charged for tax fraud and money laundering in the scandal that dealt a major blow to François Hollande's presidency.
The former disgraced minister was priorly tasked with battling tax fraud in Hollande's government, until allegations by French investigative news website Mediapart revealed he had funds in a two-decades old secret Swiss bank account.
