Gay marriage as an issue in French legislative election

Jobs and the economy are clearly major issues in this weekend's first-round parliamentary election in France. But social issues are equally important to some voters. Part of François Hollande's presidential campaign platform was equal rights: he promised to support the rights of homosexuals to get married and adopt children. The French public is split on the issue, but gay rights groups are hoping that it will be a deciding factor.
