Fighting in Donetsk series part 1/3

Issued on:

Ukrainian president Petro Poroshenko said recently that Ukraine was now in a state of what he called “real war” with Russia. He also added that the country should expect a Russian offensive in the near future. This in addition to both the US secretary of State and the Russian foreign minister having gone as far as to say that the Minsk peace deal continues to be violated by both Ukrainian government forces and pro-Russian separatists. In separatist controlled parts of eastern Ukraine, also known as the Donetsk People’s Republic, fighting continues in various front line hot spots.
