French rock legend Johnny Hallyday rushed to hospital
France’s most famous rock star, who has just celebrated his 69th birthday, was rushed to hospital in Guadeloupe in the French West Indies over the weekend.

He was helicoptered to the hospital in Pointe à Pitre, the island’s main city, during the night of Saturday, with a rapid heart rate, according to a source close to the singer.
Hallyday was holidaying in the exclusive nearby island of Saint Barthélemy at the time.
Johnny Hallyday’s producer, Gilbert Coullier, has indicated that he will give more information about the subject later today.
France’s RTL radio is reporting that his wife Laeticia and his family are at his side and hope to have him transferred to a specialist cardiology unit in the neighbouring island of Martinique.
