Iran deal faces US Senate approval

The deal between Iran and the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany was concluded on 20 July. The US Senate now has 60 days to review the deal. Secretary of State John Kerry said Friday it would be embarrassing to him and a blow to US credibility on the world stage if Congress rejects the Iran nuclear deal.In this week's Spotlight on Asia, RFI’s Jan van der Made looks back at the deal and the long process that preceded it.
