In India, the Congress party is set to announce Rahul Gandhi as it's candidate for prime minister at the end of this week. Of course, 43-year-old Gandhi first has to agree to it and he's known to be reluctant. After two terms, ahead of general elections in four months time and with his party struggling in the polls and smaller elections, Congress Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is stepping down. Competing with the Congress, is the one-year-old AAP, the Common Man Party. Already leading the Delhi special- territory government, the party is creating waves. A leading Indian economist, Arun Kumar, comments on the impact of AAP's anti-corruption policies being implemented since their leader became chief minister of Delhi last month.
