Slideshow - Thousands mourn as Guru Sai Baba buried
Thousands of devotees of Sathya Sai Baba packed into an ashram in Puttaparti, southern India, as his body was buried. Politicians, athletes, film stars and industrialists paid tribute to the guru whose followers believed he was divine incarnation and had miraculous healing powers. Rationalists accused him passing off tricks, such as producing Rolex watches from his hair, as mitacles and several news reports accusd him of sexually abusing devotees. The trust that manages his religious empire is estimated to be worth at least six billion euros.
