The rise of traditional African art in the UK

A century ago African art inspired artists such as Henri Matisse and Pablo Picasso, who incorporated African elements into their own paintings and sculptures. Now, in the UK, interest in traditional African art is growing.

With the price of tribal antiques now ranging from a few hundred to hundreds of thousands of pounds, British buyers, however, still have the advantage as African tribal art commands higher prices in France and Belgium.Filip Warwick reports from London.
