Counterfeit medicine in Senegal

The sale of counterfeit or fake medicines in the streets and markets of Senegal has been a major problem for the country struggling to upgrade its healthcare system. On many occasions, the Union of Senegalese Private Pharmacists went on strike to protest against the illegal sale of drugs and increasing attacks on their businesses. From Dakar, RFI’s correspondent Sheriff Bojang reports from one of the hotspots for this business.
