Since the revolution in Tunisia in 2011, the space for freedom of speech has opened greatly. Particularly apparent is the freedom to criticise the political classes – something punished harshly under the regime of President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali. For some artists, this new freedom has created a strange tension in terms of knowing where to toe the line. In the fourth part of our series on Tunisia’s fledgling democracy, RFI went to visit an unusual theatre in the heart of Tunis.
