African Union wants progress on Western Sahara

In Addis Ababa, the African Union summit ended yesterday with its final declaration making a special mention of Western Sahara. The mainly desert territory is the subject of a decades-long dispute between Morocco and the Algerian-backed Polisario Front. Yahia Zoubir, director of research in Geopolitics at Euromed Management, says that the UN must work with the African Union to resolve this issue.
