Aids researchers and policy makers are meeting this week in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, for the sixth annual Social Aspects of HIV and Aids Research Alliance (Sahara) conference. Participants at the conference were dealt a blow earlier this week when the Global Fund for Aids, TB and Malaria announced it would cancel its funding this year due to lack of resources.
